Guide Profile Nikki Doyle

Considered a "guide's guide," Nikki has worked for Mariah for 18 years and trip-leads on all of the rivers we operate on. She is from Australia and the accent gives her away as soon as she says "good day, mate". She kayaks, skis, surfs the big waves, and in the winter months she can be found leading trips in Costa Rica, Belize, and other countries. Because of her marine biology background, she has spent the last two winters in Florida, working on a hopper dredge ship, making sure endangered species do not become part of what is dredged.

Wet and Wild this spring on the Class IV-IV+ North Fork American River!

The snow pack looks great, so look forward to an exciting, beautiful, and long spring! Starting mid-April we will offer North Fork 1-Day, extraordinaire trips. In addition to 10 miles of exciting Class IV-IV+ rapids, you will see California poppies and deep blue lupine bursting forth from 1,000 ft. high rugged granite cliffs. Wet suits and lunch are included in the price. Experience just a little of the North Fork in this short video.

Family Rafting and Storytelling Trips

On every Thursday-Friday from the last week on June through August, families gather at Mariah's beautiful riverside campground for two days of rafting, camping, meals and entertainment by local storytellers. Join other families for wet and wild fun, evening campfire, excellent food, and peaceful outdoor camping. Make new friends, have fun with your family!

Musical Weekends on the South Fork

We are continuing to offer our annual Music and Rafting weekends because they are so popular! Get wet and wild during the days. During hors d'hoeuvres and a special wine-tasting, enjoy local musicians: June 24-25 Bluegrass, July 29-30 Sax and Keyboard.
